Introduction
I just recently created my website (it’s a work in progress so I apologize
for my beginner web page building skills). I am 21 years old and I have been in the business for over 2 years now. I have
worked for one of the largest radio companies in America (Clear Channel) starting at the age of 19. I will graduate in
May 2005 with a Bachelors degree in mass communication and a minor in public relations from the University of Maine @ Orono. I am a jack of all trades and enthusiastic to learn more.
I
am looking to relocate into a market larger than Bangor, ME. I am available to relocate as soon as I possibly can. I have experience as well as charisma. I have had #1
ratings in my last two Arbitron books for the night time slot (7pm-12am).
I have a majority of my experience in CHR, but I have done a little bit of everything as far as format goes. I would LOVE
to get into rock because I live and breathe rock music as much as I do CHR. Isn't that odd? I have experience doing
remote broadcasts (one of my favorite things about radio) as well as some MC work for a few clubs and bars. I have done swing
shifts for nearly every single station out of our 9 station cluster. I am an imaging whiz and I have lots of experience using
Cool Edit. I put together spots and promotions for all of the stations in the cluster. I do all of the producing and voicing
for these spots, as well as some script writing.
I currently work at Clear Channel in Augusta, ME doing various things.
For the most part I've been making sweepers and liners for our rock station (105.1 WTOS) and some board operation. I also
work for WVII (ABC affiliate) in Bangor, ME doing production work and audio. I do some voice overs for spots,
but mostly editing and running camera for the news.
I am a motivated person, and I will go for jobs that many people at my age wouldn't dream of applying for. One of my
favorite sayings is "Go big or go home," and that is how I look at my work in radio. I am a hard worker, and I know that
I can deliver when given the chance to shine.
